Prof. Dr. Hanne Kindermans has a background in psychology and is a lecturer at Hasselt University. Her mission is to integrate and support the knowledge and science of medical psychology and communication in (medical) healthcare. She does this both through teaching, within the Bachelor of Medicine program at UHasselt, and through her research on for example clinical empathy. She is also involved in a European project as a postdoctoral researcher in the development of a digital tool for secondary prevention for people suffering from cardiovascular diseases.
