Marc De Bie

Prof. dr. Marc De Bie is an art historian and a doctor of archaeology, specializing in early Stone Age culture. Since 2000, he has been teaching art and archeology of prehistory at the VUB, with a special focus on the origin and development of cultural behavior during the Stone Ages and the interaction with cognitive developments in humans. He is director of the Landscape Research team at the Immovable Heritage Agency. As a former head of department, he contributed to the drafting and implementation of the 2013 Real Estate Decree, which also provided the real estate master plan as a new instrument.
