The Unicorn
Two intimately intertwined llamas lie in front of a multicolored painting. They carry a transparent horn. They are unicorns. Outside, a conjuring voice rearranges existing mathematical formulas. An invention is being prepared. Something else is in the works.
The unicorn is a dream animal that breaks through the limits of its own existence. It is a mythical symbol, from child to adolescence, that leads to a new world. It is the cathedral in the head, a narrowing of the mind that leads to a new platform. This narrowing also determines the invention.
The unicorn symbolizes new discoveries. The horns are transparent because of what happens off the radar.
At the back, the painting shows the creative process of rearranging, mixing, and transforming. Something is being invented, the camelid calls for new inventions. Lama Winter is coming. She's here now. Her message is enriching our library. Her history will be our future. She is guiding us, artists and scientists, towards new knowledge, and towards different ways of sharing it with the world.
