As part of the retrospective exhibition of Italian designer, artist and theoretician Enzo Mari at C-Mine Genk, 'HET LABO' pays tribute to the master's love of animals with the exhibition 'LABO ENZOo' running from Feb. 11 to May 29, 2023. Koen Vanmechelen's 'Medusa' stands among a motley menagerie of fabulous animals and newly composed creatures.

Kunstenfestival Watou 2023 is launching its Open Call for "Patchwwwork" again this year, the experimental preliminary project from which several artists are selected for the festival. Artist Koen Vanmechelen is once again taking on the role of inspirator and looking for how Watou as a village and as a community can connect with the artists and vice versa.

Brihatta Art Foundation and Koen Vanmechelen are excited to announce their upcoming collaboration on the Cosmopolitan Chicken Project (CCP) in the fall of 2023. Within the context of this collaboration, Vanmechelen travels to Bangladesh during the last week of March and gives a talk at the University of Dhaka.
